Prices starting from €865 Euros per Week.
3 double bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms.Private infinity swimming pool (8x 5metres, & depth 1.15m - 1.70m) Sleeps a maximum of 6.

If you would love to spend some time completely relaxing in a sophisticated modern villa with panoramic sea views and cheery, colourful furnishings, then look no further than Villa Anna Gaia. Built and furnished by a young doctor and his wife from Milan, Italy, and named after their beautiful little girl, this lovely villa is both stylish and very, very comfortable. The infinity pool, downstairs terraces, and the 3 private balconies that lead out from each bedroom all overlook the gorgeous surrounding countryside and Souda Bay, with an excellent vantage point to watch the local fishing boats during the day and the nightly ferries heading off to Athens. This stunning and peaceful countryside location has easy access by car to the amenities and beaches at Kalives, Almyrida and Kera, and the villages of Vamos and Gavalohori, plus numerous walking trails. Even though you may never want to leave the villa, Tsivaras is the perfect starting point for exploring the many sites that West Crete has to offer as it is only a few minutes drive to the National Highway.

The artistic Italian owners have created a very attractive and comfortable home which is air-conditioned throughout. For the cooler nights at the start and end of the season the A/C units double up as heaters and there is a marble fireplace and full central heating. Villa Anna Gaia has high quality contemporary furnishings that blend effortlessly with the traditional natural wood doors, windows, shutters and pergolas, and the creamy natural stone arches, barbeque cabana, and stone walls. Pale cream floor tiles, kitchen cabinets and built-in wardrobes give the villa a lovely light and airy feel whilst the fabulous fuchsia couch and armchairs in the lounge, and the gorgeous bed linens give splashes of colour to the villa. The fully equipped modern kitchen has every appliance that you could ask for including a ceramic hob, fan assist oven, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave oven, toaster, kettle and coffee maker. In keeping with the rest of the villa, the doors, windows, shutters and mosquito screens have been made from local wood. In order to ensure peace and privacy for the guests, none of the bedrooms share adjoining walls and each bedroom has its own modern en-suite shower room and its own balcony with views across the unspoilt countryside to the sea.

Despite the villa’s beautiful interior, you will probably want to spend most of your time relaxing outside next to the infinity pool whilst taking in the glorious views. The half acre property has been landscaped in order to incorporate the natural surroundings which include a variety of wild flowers just stunning in the spring time, almond bushes and a mature carob tree, with pretty stone walls and flowerbeds that have been planted with “hottentot fig”, Washingtonian palms, hibiscus, and young orange trees and lemon trees. The semi covered main terrace wraps around 2 sides of the villa giving a choice of sun or shade whilst always looking towards the sparkling blue bay. Equipped with a teak dining table and comfortable chairs this is the ideal spot for al-fresco dining. The pool terrace has sun-beds and umbrellas, as well as a built-in covered barbeque area that includes kitchen cabinets, marble work surfaces and a sink.

Set on a hillside above the quaint village of Tsivaras with uninterrupted views of Souda Bay, Villa Anna Gaia only has 2 neighbours. This quiet location is ideal for those who value their privacy yet would like to be only 2kms from the charming beach resort of Kalives which has a choice of long sandy beaches and many excellent shops and tavernas.

Location

Tsivaras is a typical small Greek village built on terraces on a hillside with lovely views. The kafenion in the centre of the village is the focal point of daily life, where the post for the entire village is delivered, and the men come to chat, drink coffee (or something stronger) and play tavli (a form of backgammon). In the summer they sit under the vine covered pergola, and in the winter they huddle around the wood burning stove. The kafenion is also a surprisingly well stocked mini market with fresh bread, and organic eggs, cheese and vegetables. Tsivaras has a fantastic location with just a short drive to many other villages in the area, the National Highway, and local beaches. There are many quiet walking trails leading from Tsivaras across hills, through olive groves and/or a mini gorge, which can take you to Kera cove and beach, Almyrida, Douliana and Gavalohori. The nearby villages of Kalives or Almyrida have long been popular destinations for holiday makers seeking a typically Greek seaside resort that has many amenities, but is far removed from brash tourism. Both villages have sandy beaches, small fishing harbours, and a wide choice of excellent tavernas, cafes and shops. Almyrida also has a water sports centre which rents out kayaks, windsurfers and catamarans and the Villas Crete Holidays tourist office, owned and run by Frankie Miles. A few minutes by car from the villa, there are a huge variety of archaeological sites and traditional villages with wonderful tavernas. There is also an interesting selection of small craft centres and museums, including glass blowing in Kokkino Horio, lace makers in Gavalohori, and silk makers in Kalamitsi. For those of you looking for even more activity, the historic town of Chania is only 30 minutes away by car.
