Is it Safe to Come to Crete?

Some prospective clients appear to be having second thoughts about booking a holiday on Crete due to the Greek economy and the negative news coverage on foreign TV and in the foreign press, which quite frankly has been blown completely out of proportion. Unfortunately much of the news coverage is inaccurate and definitely does not reflect how life on Crete really is. Most of the press reports have focused on the sporadic protests which are in a very small area around the Parliament building on Syntagma Square in Central Athens which is 317km's across the Aegean Sea from Crete. The truth is that life on Crete is still very much business as usual and could not be more different to disorderly protest scenes in Athens that are occasionally seen on TV.
