Halepi, (Villa)

We rented Villa Halepi through Villascreteholidays.com whose service was flawless - we thoroughly recommend them. Lovely villa with gorgeous views. The villa description and photos on the website were very accurate, except the views are even better than the photographs! The bathrooms at the villas are smaller than others we have stayed at but it didn't bother us. The villa was spotless and maintained and the friendly owners provided a really good welcome pack including a huge cake. The owners were local so anything we needed was no trouble at all. The villa is secluded and quiet, so this does mean a good 10 minute walk, including an uphill, on the way back from the village. Driving is easy and there is plenty of parking in the square. If we were to suggest one improvement it would be to provide wind protections on a terrace or by the poo so that you can enjoy the cooler nights in off-peak season. We villa definitely return to the villa and the area again.

Villa Armonia

We wanted to thank you so much for coming to our rescue on Saturday 8th September.  We met up with Meike as promised on the Sunday morning, villa directions and all the other paperwork was ready for us.  Villa Armonia gave us the most peaceful and relaxing nine days we have had in 15 years of villa holidays.  The welcome pack was extremely generous and much appreciated; the property was spotless.  It was good too to be able to stay until 2.00pm when we left for Heraklion on Tuesday 18th.  We can appreciate very well why one of your clients has already booked there for next August.

Villa Konaki

I am sorry to have taken so long to write and thank you for organising the lovely Villa Konaki for our Crete Holiday. The 3 and half weeks since back have been as hectic as ever but we all have lovely memories of our time in Crete. The Villa fitted our needs for this year exactly and even an electrical failure one night (sorted out marvellously by your support team) caused us no real problems.

The Old Olive Mill

I want to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay at The Old Olive Mill. The view and the silence were absolutely stunning. Given the fact that we were only 8, there was plenty of space. I would also like to thank you for the welcome packet. It was a very nice and welcome surprise after the flight and the car problems we have had. We both know how wonderful Crete is. The West Coast is really awesome. We did the beaches of Elafossini, Falassarna and Balos. Super! Before, we stayed once in Chersonissos and twice in Bali. But they cannot make a match with what we saw this time.

Villa Armonia

Villa Armonia was fabulous and if you need someone to write nice things about it for your website please let me know.  It was  real home from home and the owners have clearly put lots of thought into the spec and usability of the property.  The non-slippy tiles around the pool were great ‘cos kids will always run despite a million warnings.  In fact the only gripe I have is that there was no oven glove/t towel and  a lack of serving dishes and plastics but overall I would score it 9.5 out of 10.

Villa Gaia

I wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful holiday and enjoyed our stay in Villa Gaia. The villa and especially the pool was great - our 5 year old Sisu learned to swim there.  We are already planning to return next August!

Pegasus Maisonettes

We have just returned from Almyrida and would like to say thank you for such a wonderful holiday. Your arrangements and advice on the accommodation were spot on.  The resort was exactly what we were looking for and the accommodation (Pegasus Maisonettes) was great.  Worth every penny and definitely spot on for families with teenagers a little too young for the night life.  I assume that everything was OK with the car hire as we didn't actually see the rep yesterday but left the key at the kiosk as requested.

Horseshoe Cottage

I want to thank you for our lovely vacation.

The facilities at Horseshoe Cottage were really perfect to our needs - The house was 'superb' - beautiful, clean, with lots of room and excellent on equipment needed (from toaster to oven and even a jewelry box!). The car was exactly the right size and gasoline was cheap.

Villa Athina

We are now on our way to the airport!

We would like to thank you again for helping us have such a nice holiday.  The baby stuff made Helena's stay easier here.

We would like to donate several kids' items to the Sara's Hope Foundation cancer charity. These include a brand new

Villa Petros

Thank you for a great holiday at Villa Petros.  We noted with interest (on the last day!!) that the owner of Villa Petros wishes to sell.  We are due a windfall around the end of this year on the sale of a family property.  If the pricing is right on Villa Petros and the timing were to work out then we may be interested in buying.  Can you please advise the pricing that the owner has in mind, and also any major differences/problems that can arise when buying property in Greece as compared to UK.

There's no rush on this but we would be interested to see if it might work.

Villa Katerina

I just have to thank you for providing us with the best holiday ever, at Villa Katerina. 

Even though the description and the foto's is very detailed it does not describe the fantastic feeling of spending a

holiday there. Waking up every morning dipping in the pool with the view to the ocean and the mountains, and enjoying 

a nightcap on the terrace before going to bed and digest the wonderful experiences of a holiday at Crete.

Sunset Villa

I just wanted to say thank you for our wonderful holiday in Sunset Villa. We enjoyed every minute of our time in Crete. The villa was a pleasure in itself and surpassed the high standards described on the website. We were unprepared for its amazing location, the gorgeous sea view and the fabulous sunsets which simply could not be adequately represented by words or photos! The small cove minutes walk away from our villa was an added bonus and we loved hearing the sound of bells each evening as the goats returned from the hillside. Thanks to your user friendly guidebooks and detailed and accurate directions we were able to explore the area and see so many beautiful places in the few days that we were there - it will be a long time before we forget our  trip to Chania, the Dream Adventure boat, our hike through the Samaria Gorge  and the afternoon spent on Lake Kornas.

We totally recommend Villa Crete Holidays and look forward to a return visit!

Villa Konaki

Just to say that we had a great holiday at the Villa Konaki.

The villa was spotlessly clean and we were particularly impressed that the welcome pack included things like washing up liquid, soap powder, dish cloths etc that we normally have to bring ourselves or face the inconvenience of buying locally in large sizes that we end up using only a fraction of.

This might seem a small point but it shows the thought and care you have put into making our holidays as stress free as possible.

The resort was a delight - restaurants  and shops  were excellent and very close as you had said, the car hire worked like a dream - in fact we could not fault the holiday at all.

Grapevine cottage

Sandy and I had a great time. All very organised, Grapevine cottage suited us, the pool and location lovely.
Just two points, the front door key was very hard to open I think the plate needs adjusting or something? The water dispenser was a great idea, we would have found it very hard to replace the bottle as it was 10 L.

Just to let you know we had the most fantastic holiday ever and are all in love with Crete and its people  - I am amused now at my pre holiday concerns ! ..I have never been somewhere where its so safe and friendly , really its quite unusual to saunter off the beach for lunch leaving bags on sunbeds etc....i even left a purse with £70 Euros in it in a shop in Chania ...someone had handed it in and I got it back with all the cash in it ...that would NOT happen in UK !  . We loved Villa Kali Zoe and will be BACK  ...we will recommend both Crete  and your villa company to our friends .

I hope the troubles Greece are facing pass soon and that your business doesn't suffer too much as a result of the bad press.

Bay View Villa 1

Okay, even the owner of Villas Crete Holidays was quick to point out that Bay View Villa 1 was not in the "luxury" 

category of the website (I had naively asked if there were beach towels at the property). It is on the small side -

tiny proportions in the main bedroom and the shower was "wet-room" style. BUT BUT BUT - while the villa might not suit

 those who like rolling around on luxury beach towels - they'd have to be seriously churlish to criticise the outside of 

Villa Keramika

is stunningly positioned on the hillside overlooking Souda Bay. It offers uninterrupted views that are simply divine at sunset. This villa is wonderfully kitted out with everything you need - it has a perfect homely feel. The pool is large and wonderfully inviting - and the gardens were really well maintained. We especially like the barbeque area. Quite simply, the views are to die for and I strongly suggest that people head to this quieter part of Crete for a hugely relaxing week.

Villa Keramika

We absolutely loved staying at Villa Keramika. Our group ranged greatly in age and everyone was happy. The villa is extremely well appointed and the kitchen lacked nothing! It really felt like a home from home. When we arrived everything was lovely and clean, with beds made and towels for everyone. Although we were a large group you felt like you could have your own space as there are 2 balconies leading off the 2 bedrooms upstairs. For half of the holiday we had barbeques and the other half we made use of the local tavernas. The barbeque terrace has an absolutely stunning view of the sun setting over Souda Bay each evening. Between us we probably have 150 photos of the sunsets! We tried 3 different tavernas and the food was lovely each time - and not very expensive.

Atlantis House

I am emailing to let you know we had a great holiday in Atlantis House, Plaka.

The villa was excellent with it being quiet and also close to the village centre and Clive was great in sorting out our Barbecue for us.

Kyra's House

We are on our second last day already! We have absolutely loved  Kyra's House and Almyrida . The  village has been 

perfect for us , not too busy but a lovely atmosphere. Your books were very useful and we went to all the restaurants 

that you recommended , also to elephanisi for the day stopping at the cave in the mountains - wonderful!  The villa is 

lovely - the kids were nice and cool in the basement bedroom. No breakages or problems - except the shower head

Provarma Hills Villa

We rented Provarma Hills Villa this summer - 2 families with 4 adults and 5 children. We found the property was large and spacious - as expected from the photos of the villa on the website. We had a wonderful stay and the owner, George, was exceptional. Provarma Hills Villa is located nicely, and with a car you can easily reach the entire west side of the island within 1 - 2 hours - from Elafonissi to Chania!

is the perfect villa! 5 stars! We found the villa to be exactly as described on the website. The villa was very private and not overlooked, with great views out to sea with wonderful sunsets. Villa Azure

Villa Azure is obviously someone's home and you are therefore provided with everything you could possibly need. It is

situated in the most outstanding position and the views are memorable. Be prepared for a bumpy ride to access it but it

is certainly worth it! Everything about the villa spells luxury and you feel that you are living the dream! The walk to the 

nearest seaside resort of Almyrida takes around 25 minutes but it is certainly a delightful place to visit, the people are 

so friendly tavernas for delicious meals and cocktails. I would highly recommend Villa Azure.

Villa Odyssey

Just above a quiet Greek village, Villa Odyssey sits in an olive orchard with distant views to the ocean beyond. Across the quiet street you can see the White Mountains. We liked the fact that it was away from the resorts on the coast and on the edge of a small village. It was an easy trip up the hill from the coast. The villa is designed perfectly, very comfortable and full of books about Crete and Greece, music, DVD's, and everything you need to be comfortable including an outdoor kitchen. The house managers are amazing - very helpful and full of good information. We thoroughly enjoyed out stay. Crete was wonderful -we did not want to leave.

Sorry that it has taken so long for us to let you know how we enjoyed our holiday in Almyrida. We had a really lovely time: interesting, relaxing and great fun.  The apartment was simple, clean and comfortable with great facilities with the pool and the roof terrace (the view from this was really something else!).  The only niggle we had was with the bathroom, we were not sure that the "wet-room" style really worked as it was quite difficult to use the shower head without a wall fitting and we thought that a shower curtain/screen would not be too difficult to to install and would

I want to thank you for the wonderful time we spent in Villa Elsa last week. The villa was perfect for our two families

 and we really enjoyed staying there. The interior of the house was very comfortable; great kitchen, beautiful bathroom,

 good beds and a lounge where we and the children could have their own 'corners'. The bunk bed in the downstairs

 apartment was actually a good solution for our group.  My husband really liked the American refrigerator and would like 

to have one in our house .

Bay View Villa

The view from Bay View Villa 1 covered the whole of Souda Bay including views to the Chania peninsula. The friendly local village shop supplied anything one might need and Yiannis' mother at the taverna in the centre of the villa is a great cook! This was an ideal base with lots of surrounding small villages

Almyrida View Villa

Every now and again you find a special place, a place that is a peaceful oasis away from the hustle and bustle of

 tourists and everyday life. This is a true reflection of Villa Odyssey. The villa is located about the town of Maleme, 

hidden amongst the rolling hills of olive groves, lime trees, and dotted with white washed buildings. The peaceful

Thanks for sorting everything out for our recent stay at Villa Halepi. Everything was better than expected. 

Such a nice location and superb villa. Stelios sorted out the problem with the air-con within 5 minutes of us calling 

him and left a cake. Great hospitality and lovely people generally in Crete. We will definitely be coming back.

Just a quick note to say thanks for a great holiday. Villa Petros was better than we expected and wow what a view. Kefalas was a lovely place to wander around and the local tavernas were excellent.

Villa Gaia

Just wanted to let you know we had a fab holiday, we didn’t want to come home, but here we are 2 weeks later and the holiday is over in a flash. Crete is a beautiful island and I’m sure we’ll return in the future, Villa Gaia met all our needs and it was very easy to travel into either Kalyves or Alymrida. The groceries left in the welcome pack were very generous and also very useful.

Booking this holiday through your company was very stress free and professional, so thank you, we’ll be sure to recommend you and use you again.

Just to say Thank you to everyone for a great holiday, the villa was lovely and we enjoyed following some of your driving routes, our favourite was through the Gorge of Therissos we followed the whole route around and the views were spectacular! and we are sure that we saw the same chap on the donkey who appears in your book.

Thanks once again for the great service and also for being able to use the Hotel facilities on the last day as we had such a late flight back it made a huge difference and enabled us to enjoy our hols up until the very last minute.

Villa Irini

Bay View Villa

Just a note to say thanks. We had a lovely week at Bay View Villa. The Villa was just right for the four of us. In fact everything was just right which makes a change as our holidays are normally fraught with disasters! Also the details in the directions made it easy to find!

I hope this doesn't sound cheeky but the photographs of the villa don't do it justice. There was more space and the views were a lot more spectacular than we had imagined. I know it can be difficult to get a good panoramic view from a still but where it is difficult to get the best out of internal photos, have you thought about putting a floor plan on the web site? It would be such a shame for people to miss out on such a lovely villa.

Bay View Villas

Thank you & your team so much for all your help & organising of our recent holiday in Crete, the Bay View Villas) were fantastic

and the views stunning, your cleaners are so friendly & kept the place spotless considering there were 15 of us at one point, Thank you for organising the sailing trip

we were lucky enough to have a good wind that day so the sailing was excellent and a great time was had by all. It was also nice to see Ian again please give him our regards.

Villa Keramika

I just wanted to write to tell you how much we enjoyed our holiday in Villa Keramika. The villa was fantastic the views were exceptional and the Island of Crete and it’s people were extremely welcoming. Your book “Crete on the road” was excellent too and very informative.

I may be wrong but I’m not sure we made any comments in Chris’s visitors book so if you could forward on our thanks to him it’d be much appreciated.

Villa Aretousa

I just wanted to send a note to say thank you for helping us with all of the arrangements regarding our visit to Crete.  Villa Aretousa was perfect, and we absolutely loved the village of Armeni, and being in the hills among the peace of the olive groves.  We also relied on your book quite frequently and did both the gorge drive, as well as the drive to Elefonissi Beac, which was spectacular!

Villa Kali Zoe

Just wanted to email to thank you for all your help with our recent trip. We had a fabulous stay at Villa Kali Zoe - it certainly lives up to it's name!

Atlantis House

Just wanted to drop you a line to say thank you for yet again another fantastic holiday in one of your villas.  The Atlantis House was out of this world.  I was so upset to leave yesterday.  We have now found a new month to come to Crete as well, June is just perfect, you have the weather but not the crowds.  We loved it!  Its a shame we didn't get to say thank you in person, but maybe next year, because we will definitely be coming back next year for 2 weeks in June.  Already counting down the days.

Isadora Apartments

We returned last week from our holiday in Almyrida which we really enjoyed. just wanted to thank you for all the extra information supplied which we found very helpful.  We followed a few of the drives in your book and did 2 of the There and back walks.  We  also went to the Botanical gardens which we thought were very good.  The location of the Isadora Apartments is stunning with such beautiful views and the direct access to the beach and village.

Helen, Tony and Charlotte

Just wanted to say thankyou so much, once again, for helping us out in our hour of need and arranging for us to relocate to one of your villas.  It was such a relief to get away from the hornets at the villa we had booked with another company.  We had a lovely time and the information and maps we found in the villa were really useful and we really enjoyed visiting and eating out in Vrisses and Georgioupolis as well as having a thoroughly hedonistic time around the fantastic, hornet-free pool.

Thank you once again and I do hope you continue to be involved in the villa rental business as we will most definitely be coming back to Crete again and again and feel that your obvious passion, knowledge and integrity means we'll definitely choose your company in the future and happily recommend it to our friends.
